The Metroplex Room

Juan Atkins' Metroplex was the earliest Detroit techno label by debuting in 1985 and is the inspiration for this room. So far, the Metroplex Room has hosted a Jeff Mills Metropolis screening, a DEMF conference with Juan Atkins, a screening of Sam Greenlee's underground film The Spook Who Sat by the Door and a University Of Windsor electronic music discussion with Cornelius Harris of Underground Resistance and Dan Sicko, author of Techno Rebels. The Metroplex Room will soon be host to photography and paintings from various Detroit artists.
