Starting with the early DJ Rolando EP (UR-035), which was executively produced by Mad Mike and co-produced by a rookie DJ Rolando. And later experiments such as "Mi Raza" and "Aztlan" all led to the eventual production of the sound which was prefected in "Jaguar". Upon the success of Jaguar, Gerald Mitchell and DJ Rolando asked Mike Banks to fund a UR sub-label, named Los Hermanos. The Los Hermanos label is about raising the standard not only for techno, but dance music in general. By fusing the funk and soul of Detroit techno with the feel of latin rhythms, Los Hermanos destroys the boundaries between house and techno. The result is music that is modern, yet firmly grounded in musical tradition
